Andreas Vollenweider is a new member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. Since 1959, the academy selects the nominees for the much sought -after Grammy Awards, the "OSCAR" of the music industry.
It is more likely, that Vollenweider is going to gravitate to more original and sophisticated projects, which will be a small, but very welcomed re-balancing contribution to the Grammies.
